The Bogue Tuchenna District is in Southeast Louisiana and is one of seven
districts in the Istrouma
Area Council of the Boy Scouts
of America. We serve Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venturing
Crews in all of Washington Parish and Western and Northern St. Tammany
Parish.
As of December 31, 2004, the Bogue Tuchenna District is composed of 49
units and serves over 1400 scouts and nearly 600 adult volunteers. During
the year our district hosts two weeks of Cub Scout Day Camp, a District
Pinewood Derby, Cub Family Weekend, Webelos Woods, District Camporee,
Explorer/Venture Canoe Marathon and many other events. Please see our
calendar for a more complete listing.
Bogue Tuchenna District also offers training for adult leaders throughout
the district. The trainings are listed on the District Calendar and upcoming
events can be found on the Training page.
The District Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month (except
June, July and August) at St. Timothy
United Methodist Church in Mandeville. The Committee Meeting starts
at 6:00 pm and everyone is invited to attend and participate in the growth
of our District.
