Red Cross CPR Certification and Recertification

All Scouts:

Bogue Tuchenna will be offering CPR!

What will be offered? We are setting up 3 different categories. Read them all...

1. I've never have been CPR trained, or it's been more than a decade. I want to be trained so I qualify for scout trips.

2. I've been trained in the past, but it wasn't for use professionally.

These two courses are going to be taught together. It will take a few hours. Please sign up for updates about the course. Click here! Course times and location will be determined soon. Target course date is 5/11/2010 or 5/16/2010.

Thank you for your interest. Feel free to forward this email.

BT Boy Scout Leaders

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) for 2010 is scheduled for May 30 - June 4, 2010. Click here to view the brochure for the upcoming training. As most of you know, I have been preaching the importance of this training for two to three years. Last summer IAC sent nine youth to SELAs NYLT course. These young men will make the core of the group that will lead this year‘s course at Avondale Scout Reservation. Please consider two things: 1) Commit to sending one or two boys from your troop to the course this year and 2) identify a youth that you think is right for staff. Staff development will start in January so help here is most important.

We firmly believe, and I hope you share the belief, that this course is critical to helping youth in our units prepare to make ethical choices in their lifetimes and become the leaders of tomorrow. Please support this program by speaking up in your units and get youth to this training next year.
