| Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO Training) and Outdoor Webelos
Leader Skills (OWLS Training) are for Cub Scout Leaders and Webelos Scout
Leaders. These two training courses are combined with an integrated schedule
on one weekend to maximize your training time. Every Pack must have at least
one BALOO trained adult present on Pack Overnighters. BALOO trains participants
to properly understand the importance of program intent, youth protection
guidelines, health and safety, site selection, age-appropriate activities
and sufficient adult participation.
The cost of this weekend is $30.00 per person (early registration), which will include food for Saturday night and Sunday morning. You will need to bring a bag lunch for SATURDAY. We will be tent camping. If you don't have a tent, let us know and we will find one for you. For more information and/or to register, download the informational packet. |

Boy Scout Outdoor Leader Skills is for Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Troop Committee Members, Webelos Leaders, Varsity Coaches, and Venturing Leaders. Actually, any registered adult interested in the skills that build confidence and competence in conducting outdoor camping experiences is welcomed to attend and participate. This is a camping experience. We will be camping as patrols. Registration is $30 and you should bring all the personal items necessary for a campout.
